Kelsey has appeared before all levels of Court in Manitoba and British Columbia, the Federal Court of Canada, and various administrative tribunals, and has experience assisting clients through mediation, arbitration, and other alternative dispute resolution processes. In addition, Kelsey has acted as independent counsel on section 278 applications in criminal sexual assault proceedings.
Kelsey holds a Juris Doctor from the University of British Columbia and a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours), with Distinction, from the University of Manitoba. After articling and practicing at a national law firm in Vancouver, Kelsey returned home to Winnipeg and practiced primarily in civil litigation before joining Merit Law in January 2026. Kelsey regularly volunteers at the Legal Help Centre and serves as a committee member of the Manitoba Health Biomedical and Health Research Ethics Boards.
